Planning:

3 Step Learning Process:

Planning your own Learning:

  • Determine personal challenges and learning required for pedagogical growth
  • Brainstorm solutions to challenges and desired learning
  • Establish personal goals
  • Plan curriculum incorporating best practices (outlined below)
  • Individual reflection on the process and your own personal learning
  • Adjust curriculum and future planning as needed
  • Ongoing reflection and goal setting

Planning your Student's Learning:

Well designed projects include

  • Alignment to standards
  • Essential & curriculum framing questions
  • Student centered approach
  • Real world connections
  • Critical thinking (Higher order projects require students to collect, analyse, synthesize, problem solve, make recomendations etc) Cut and paste won't work there!
  • Multiple assessment options
  • Varied instructional strategies / differentiation
  • Technology to support & enhance learning
  • Project based demonstrations of knowledge by students
